It is clear that a company’s actual culture is closely linked to the personalities of its leaders and senior executives: who they are as individuals, the values they hold and what they embody day after day. Their stance, way of being, approach to decision-making, exercise of power, treatment of people, management of crises and behaviour both inside and outside the company have a far greater impact than theories and fine speeches.
They therefore have a decisive role to play in establishing this culture: it is their responsibility to initiate the movement by being the first to embody it in their daily work, and to remain its guardians at all times—especially in difficult periods.
Developing their awareness—of themselves, of others and of the world—and their inner maturity therefore becomes an essential strategic element of their professional commitment and a core leadership responsibility, alongside their strategic and managerial capabilities.
